About the Presenter
Betty Shaw has worked in the accounting field for the last forty years as a Texas CPA. She has always been interested in Fiber Crafts, and has often branched out to different types. Her interests include: Sewing, Quilting, Longarm Quilting, Crochet and Knitting. She is currently learning the process of taking raw Sheep’s wool from the beginning and taking it all the way through the process of carding to spinning it on the old time Spinning Wheels. She is also currently taking classes on how to design Longarm digital quilting designs and advanced use of the computer program Pro-Stitcher. She recently started her own business “Quilt Your Own Quilt” where she is renting out the use of her Longarm and teaching folks how to quilt their own quilt at her business location in Denison, Texas.
