Volunteers are needed to help craft another Collaborative Crazy Quilt. This quilt will have a spring garden theme and be raffled off to benefit the Creative Arts Center. Volunteers can help by working on one or more quilt blocks. Blocks can be machine stitched or hand stitched.
Donations of materials for this project will also be welcomed. Be on the lookout for fabrics, lace, embroidery thread, and buttons, featuring spring colors and garden theme. Think flowers, ladybugs, birds, frogs, dragonflies, watercans, etc.
The goal is to get this quilt completed before Thanksgiving.
This collaborative creation be raffled off for the benefit of the Creative Arts Center. Raffle tickets will be on sale from December through February and the drawing will be at the Taste of Chocolate gala at the Complex on February 20, 2027.
First Meeting
Wednesday, Sept 2
10 am to noon
200 W 5th in Bonham
At this first meeting, we will:
- sort through fabrics and select which ones to include
- cut fabrics into strips
- assemble fabric bundles
- cut blocks out of muslin
- decide on future meeting days
Work on the quilt blocks will primarily be done at home, on your own time.
If you have fabrics (can be scraps) to donate, please bring to this first meeting or drop off at the center before the meeting time.
Please bring fabric scissors to the first meeting if you can.
