Volunteer Training Session

Who should attend?  Volunteers who will be helping lead art activities for kids or adults at the Red River Arts Fest and volunteers who will help with t-shirt and gift shop sales.  We will go over each art activities as well as how to process gift shop sales, etc.

Please note – in order to volunteer with the kids art projects, volunteers must complete a volunteer application as soon as possible and no later than April 24 (see Volunteer Application button on this page). Volunteers must have clear reference checks and background checks in order to volunteer with the kids.

Workday - April 13

We need volunteer help to do yard work outside and some deep cleaning inside.  We are planning another workday on Saturday mornings – April 13 – from 8 am to 12 noon.

Tasks will include, but are not limited to:

pulling weeds
planting flowers
putting out mulch
hauling off branches
power washing
deep cleaning inside
assemble 2 new shelves
sanding, other prep work and painting our stage

Wear work clothes and shoes. Bring work gloves if you have them.

If you can, please bring tools for working outside such as weed trimmers, leaf blowers, shovels, hand tools, power washers and clippers. If you have favorite tools for cleaning inside, feel free to bring those too.

We could also use a truck and trailer to help haul off a large pile of branches.

We will provide garbage bags, flowers, mulch, cleaning supplies, etc.

We will gladly accept donations of flowers and mulch or the cash to purchase such. Contact our Director, Sandy Barber to discuss further.

Please let us know if you are coming! Click on the button below to sign up!

Volunteer Applications

Like any small non-profit, we depend on volunteers regularly. Some of the things volunteers can help with at the Creative Arts Center include:

  • Office duties
  • Teaching classes
  • Teacher assistants – help with classes and camps
  • Special Events – help set up, run and clean up from special events such as Red River Arts Fest, Quilt Hop, vendor events, performance nights, etc.
  • Hospitality Team – help prepare refreshments for receptions and other events, help set up, serve and clean up
  • Gardening and yard work
  • Cleaning and organzing

To become a volunteer, you must complete a volunteer application.  We will then complete criminal history checks, reference checks and a personal interview before you are cleared to volunteer.
