Determining what artwork is not suitable or safe will be generally be determined by a panel of artist members but may also be determined by the Director.

Contest Judge: Carolyn Fauble

Carolyn Fauble was born in Illinois in a farming community with no idea she would spend her adult life in Texas.  She attended Western Illinois University and earned a BA in Art Education and a MA in Studio Painting.  In 1974, she moved to Texas with her husband for better employment opportunities.

She worked in the Lewisville School District for 30 years, levels 6 – 12.  She was a jack of all trades teaching drawing, painting, ceramics, sculpture,  printmaking, papermaking, batik and bookmaking.  She loved interacting with interested students and helping them work toward entering local shows and participating in the Visual Arts Scholastic Event of Texas.

When she retired in 2006, she moved to the Bonham area to watch their country retirement home being built near Ravenna, she began concentrating on her painting, both watercolor and acrylic.  She worked at developing a unique signature style and content….often spiritual, hopefully imaginative,  and frequently mysterious.
