We are excited to announce that we will be having a Creative Reuse Sale at the Creative Arts Center!

Creative Reuse Stores are popping up all over our state and country.  These are thrift stores that specialize in arts and crafts supplies.  These stores help keep these supplies out of the landfills and are a great source of lower cost supplies for artists. While we do not have the space or staff to manage a Creative Reuse Store, we are excited to devote one week to having a sale in late September 2025. 

We will have two drop off days, where folks can bring their gently used arts and crafts supplies to donate to our center.  Then we will have three days of sales.  Our sale will be open to the public.  This event will help folks in our community clean out and declutter their stash of art supplies they no longer need and provide an alternative to throwing them in the landfill.  This event will also help local creatives get low cost art supplies while raising needed funds for our art center. Sounds like a win-win-win situation to us.

Drop off times:

• Tuesday, Sept 23  from 10 am to 5:30 pm
• Wednesday, Sept 24 from 10 am to 5:30 pm
• Please note, we strongly prefer that donations be dropped off at these times only.  However, if you really, really, really cannot do one of these days, please contact Jaye or Sandy at (903) 640-2196 to arrange an alternative time. We have limited space and manpower and really want to avoid getting donations early, so please help us out by sticking to these days if at all possible.

Shopping times:

• Thursday, Sept 25 from noon to 6pm
• Friday, Sept 26 from 10 am to 6 pm
• Saturday, Sept 27 from 8 am to 3 pm.

Pricing:

• We will provide shoppers with up to three sizes of bags, which can be filled for $10, $20 or $30 each.
• Select items will be on a designated table and priced as marked.

Location:

• Inside the middle and east galleries of the Creative Arts Center at 200 W 5th in Bonham.

Acceptable items include:

• craft papers
• paints, brushes, pallete knives
• markers, crayons and pencils
• tapes, glues
• unpainted canvases
• yarn, ribbon, fabric and buttons
• stickers, stamps and ink pads
• scissors, rulers, and other art tools and machines
• patterns, booklets and books that are arts and crafts related

Please do not bring:

• dried up paints or glues
• dirty, unusable supplies
• broken machines or tools
• items that are not arts and crafts related
