What are Vision Boards?

A vision board (also known as a dream board or goal board) is a visual tool used to help clarify, concentrate, and maintain focus on specific life goals. It’s essentially a collage of images, words, and phrases that represent what you want to achieve, attract, or experience in your life.

Here’s what makes up a vision board and how it works:

🌟 Purpose

  • It helps you visualize your goals—whether personal, professional, financial, or emotional.
  • By regularly seeing the images and words that represent your dreams, you reinforce motivation and focus.
  • It taps into the idea that visualization can support goal-setting and positive thinking.

🖼️ Typical Contents

  • Images (from magazines, printouts, photos, etc.) that symbolize your dreams (a house, a healthy lifestyle, travel destinations, etc.).
  • Words and quotes that inspire you or reflect what you want to feel or achieve.
  • Affirmations or personal reminders (e.g., “I am confident,” “Success is within reach”).

What are Punch Cards?

Punch cards can be created and used to set up a personal goal and reward system. Using an index card or card stock, participants will write down a goal and the steps needed to reach a specific reward.

For example, if your goal is to do more walking in the next year, you could create a punch card that you mark or punch a hole in each time you go walking for at least 30 minutes.  Once you do the 30 minutes walk for 10 different times, you get a special treat from your favorite coffee shop.
