Greetings from the Band!  First, I want to announce dates for TWO concerts this year…

·      Saturday, March 7, 7:00pm at the First Baptist Church Activity Center 

·      Saturday, December 12…our Christmas Concert…7:00pm, same location.

We’re trying to lock in dates for April, June, July and October.  Will advise as soon as we get a consensus with the Band…which is tough with this many people, almost all of whom are NOT retired.

We’ve been rehearsing since January 12 with a theme centered around New Orleans (the blues, ragtime, Louis Armstrong, Mardi Gras).  And because Mardi Gras is really a pre-Lent festival, that opened up the idea of some additional tunes with a more spiritual pedigree.  So, here’s a sample of tunes we’re working on:
