About the Instructor

Kelly Bazan

Kelly Bazan is a professional actress, director, producer, and educator with extensive experience in theatre, film, television, and youth arts education. With a background in education and years of hands-on production work, Kelly brings both structure and creativity into every class and rehearsal space.

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies (Education) from Texas A&M University–Commerce and has completed professional improv comedy and voice-over training through Comedy Arena in McKinney. Her work spans directing, producing, stage management, and performance across numerous productions throughout North Texas, including multiple shows at the Creative Arts Center, with McKinney Repertory Theater, and film productions with Paramount Plus.

She is an award-winning producer and stage manager, recognized for her leadership, organization, and collaborative spirit.

At the heart of Kelly’s teaching philosophy is this belief:
theatre is not about perfection, it’s about presence, confidence, and connection.

In her Kidz Krew and Adult Improv classes, Kelly creates a supportive, judgment-free environment where students are encouraged to take risks, use their voices, and grow at their own pace. Whether working with children stepping onstage for the first time or adults rediscovering play and creativity, she prioritizes safety, encouragement, and clear guidance.

Kelly is bilingual (English/Spanish), deeply community-minded, and passionate about helping people of all ages feel seen, capable, and brave, onstage and beyond.
