Tatiana Suvorova
Tatiana Suvorova (Burimova, Murray) was born in 1972 in Temirtay, Kazakhstan. From 1980 to 1989, she studied at the Art School of Temirtay, graduating with highest honors and receiving a Red Diploma. She continued her formal education from 1990 to 1995 at the Omsk Art and Service Institute in Russia, where she specialized in studio art and clothing design. Tatiana graduated with highest honors once again, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Art and Fashion Design.
Her first solo art exhibition took place in her hometown of Temirtay when she was twenty years old, held at the city exhibition hall.
From 2000 to 2003, Tatiana worked as an art teacher in Chernogorsk art school , Russia. During this period, she was highly active as both an educator and exhibiting artist. In 2000, she participated in the juried exhibition Gold Brush in Abakan, Russia, where she was awarded second place. That same year, she presented a personal exhibition at the Khakassia Newspaper Building, followed by a second solo exhibition there in 2001. In 2002, she illustrated two children’s books and participated in a juried portrait exhibition in Temirtay, focusing extensively on portraits of her native people. In 2003, she exhibited in The Beauty of My Land, a regional exhibition held in her hometown.
In 2004, Tatiana immigrated to the United States. From 2004 to 2006, she provided private art instruction for children in Rochester, New Hampshire. In 2005, she presented her solo exhibition A Garden of Delights at the Ben Franklin Gallery in Somersworth, New Hampshire. That same year, she became a member of the New Hampshire Art Association and the New Hampshire League of Craftsmen. She exhibited widely throughout New Hampshire and Maine, including Portsmouth, York, and Somersworth, with multiple shows at Franklin Gallery. Her work was frequently featured in local newspapers, and her exquisitely painted Russian eggs were exhibited at the Rochester Public Library. During this time, she regularly painted outdoors and participated in group plein air excursions along the Seacoast. She also became a member of the York Art Association.
In 2009, Tatiana opened her online Etsy shop, tatiana123, specializing in one-of-a-kind handmade felted hats, scarves, gloves, and original artworks. Over a period of more than ten years, she hand-crafted and sold over 2500 items, maintaining a five-star rating and demonstrating exceptional skill as both an artist and fashion designer.
In 2011, she relocated to California, where she painted and sold oil paintings through numerous gift shops in San Francisco and the Bay Area.
In 2013, Tatiana moved to Windom, Texas, where she co-founded the Windom Art School. Together with a fellow artist, she helped to clean up an unused building to transform it into a community art space. For two years, she taught academic drawing and painting to both children and adults.
In 2024, Tatiana joined the Creative Arts Center (CAC) in Bonham, Texas, where she began participating in monthly exhibitions. In 2025, she won Best of Show at CAC Bonham for her watercolor painting Windom After the Rain. In April 2025, she held a personal exhibition at CAC Bonham alongside with many of her students patticipating in kids art contest same time . contest, presenting their own work together with that of her students. Her students collectively received eight awards that year.
Also in 2025, Tatiana was invited to exhibit with the Sherman Art League, where she received a Judge’s Recognition Ribbon for her oil pastel work Daddy Is Home 3. She later won Second Place in the annual CAC Bonham competition for her oil pastel painting Daddy Is Home 2. During this time, she continued teaching watercolor and oil pastel classes at CAC Bonham and at Paris Junior College through the Art Study Club.
Additional highlights in 2025 include participation in a juried exhibition at the Denison Art Council, a three-artist exhibition at the Winnsboro Center for the Arts, a watercolor techniques presentation and demonstration at Paris Junior College, participation in the juried exhibition Crème de la Crème at the Frisco Discovery Center with the Artists of Greater Frisco, and an Honorable Mention at an international juried exhibition themed Flowers.
As of 2026, Tatiana continues to exhibit regularly in Bonham, Winnsboro, and other galleries throughout Texas, while actively teaching art classes. She is currently planning a solo exhibition scheduled for April 2026.
