Did you ever wonder how our great grandparents created those mesmerizing crazy quilts? Closely examining one of these old quilts – the embroidery, the shapes, the fabrics – boggles the mind! The skill to sew all these bits of old clothing and flour sacks together without a sewing machine is incredible!

Come Crazy Quilt with us! This class will be led by Valerie Pollock. Learn the tips and tricks of using scrap material to create beautiful quilts and wall hangings. We will learn to: create quilt squares, embellish them with embroidery, lace, buttons, and beads, then finish the project with backing, binding, and tying.

The classes will be two hours long, one day a week, throughout the month of February. Between classes, you practice this craft by working on your quilt square. This method of learning and practice will help you to develop your skill in this fiber art. Completion of this course will allow you to confidently create your own crazy quilt projects.
