A New Opportunity for Arts Supporters
While many know about September’s North Texas Giving Day, the Communities Foundation of Texas is introducing a special spring opportunity focused exclusively on supporting the arts. “North Texas Gives to the Arts” celebrates Dallas Arts Month with a dedicated platform for arts organizations like ours.
What makes this opportunity exceptional? The Giana Foundation Fund has generously offered $100,000 in matching funds for participating arts organizations across North Texas.
Sandy Barber, our director, explains: “This matching opportunity is perfectly timed as we continue expanding our programming and community outreach. Every dollar donated up to $500 per donor will be matched, effectively doubling the impact of each contribution. These funds are crucial for maintaining our historic building, providing scholarships, and ensuring our classes remain accessible to everyone in our community.”
How the Matching Works
The matching structure was thoughtfully designed to benefit as many arts organizations as possible. Each donor’s gift of up to $500 will be matched, allowing supporters at all giving levels to see their contributions amplified.
For the Creative Arts Center, which has served Fannin County for over two decades, this means we can continue being a vibrant cultural hub, offering art classes, exhibitions, performances, and community events that bring creativity and connection to rural North Texas.
